And this time, I mean it!

Looking back on my 35-odd years I've spent a *lot* of it on various forms of what are generally referred to as "games."  Board games, video games, RPGs, MUDs, MMORPGs, and even several non-acronym-able sports - though I suppose if you need to enrobe them in nerdier parlance  - 'popular abstract LARPs.'   Sure I've done lots of other things - helped start and run a vaguely successful business, spent both far too long and far too short a time in school, discovered sex, drugs, (listened to) rock and roll, found love, the whole marriage and kids thing etc.  Most of them have made me a very happy man.  Despite all that, I spend a lot of time thinking about games, playing games, and talking about games with those communication-adjacent individuals who can at least feign interest in having my ideas inflicted upon them.

 There'll be more.  You'll see.
